I wasn't going to do a blog, instead I was just going to have the web page and refer people to that. I will do that right now, before I forget, the web page is http://www.aloneintheshaodws2.weebly.com However, the web page is mostly for reference purposes. It contains much information that I wanted to share with people who might be trying to navigate this nightmare we call "Long Term Care". There are a lot of questions to ask the facility, many thing that you might want to observe when you are there and red flags that probably mean there is a huge problem.
For the most part, sharing information and experiences, is what I see my purpose in this forum as being. There are already some excellent blogs out there that are listed in my links. Still, it seems there is a never ending list of new horrors uncovered every day and sometimes I really want a place to comment on those things and I guess this is it.
I welcome comments that are constructive and not mean spirited. I am so far past wanting to hear that nasty stuff, I can't even tell you. I respect your right to hold a different opinion and to state what that is, but ask you to please do it in a civilized way.
The opinions on this page and the web page, are just that, my own opinions. I am writing about my experiences both while caring for my mom and also advocating for others.
